Hells Gate is an abrupt narrowing of British Columbia's Fraser River, located immediately downstream of Boston Bar in the southern Fraser Canyon. The towering rock walls of the Fraser River plunge toward each other forcing the waters through a passage only 35 metres (115 ft) wide. It is also the name of the rural locality at the same location. Facilities include: Simon's Cafe, Gold Panner Gift Shop, Education Centre, Fudge Factory, Gold Panning, Simon's Wall, Observation Decks & Suspension Bridge.

The park has a large variety of walking and hiking trails which range anywhere from a 15 minute walk to a 5 or 6 day hike. Lightning Lake is often used for non-motorized watersports, such as canoeing, kayaking, and fishing. Rentals are available at the lake for canoes, rowboats, kayaks and stand-up paddle boards.

Historic Yale is the home of St. John the Divine (1863), The Ward House and the Creighton House (1870). A Living History "Tent City" takes you back to the early days of the 1858 Fraser River Gold Rush. Step back in time and stroll the boardwalk and check out the goods for sale in the General Store. Maybe swagger into the Saloon for an ice cold root beer or a game of poker. Learn what life was like for the thousands of Chinese railway worker in the Chinese Boarding House and Bath house or try your hand at gold panning!

The Hope Art Gallery is opened February to December, 6 days per week and is free to public. It features a variety of artists and mediums as well as special monthly exhibits.

A minor earthquake in 1965 in the Coast Mountains of British Columbia caused an entire mountainside to collapse and the obliteration of an entire lake. Approximately 60 million cubic yards of rock, snow, mud and trees tumbled 6000 feet into the valley below. The Hope Slide is located approx. 15 minutes east of Hope BC on highway #3 is well worth the visit.
